The UA University Singers is the premier vocal ensemble in the School of Music. This auditioned touring ensemble has been invited to perform at prestigious events such as the Alabama Vocal Association All-State Choral Festival, multiple tours across the southeast, and UA presidential events. This ensemble frequently commissions and premieres works by living composers.University Singers consists of music majors as well as talented and driven choral singers from other academic disciplines across the university. The choir serves as ambassador for the university, performing frequently on- and off-campus.
This ensemble is open to sophomore through graduate students only. Auditions for each academic year occur in April of the previous semester. Learn more about the audition process.
All concerts are open to the public, free of charge and begin at 7:30 PM (unless otherwise announced). Concerts are available to view online on the UA School of Music YouTube channel.
